Fire and safety Engineering as a career is fast growing in BOTSWANA. The country is a mining hub and has to take a leadership role in safety. Currently the country has a still growing safety industry, majority of practitioners are general safety practitioners. There is still room for technical safety skills such as Fire investigators, Engineers, Auditors and the like. The risk of fire in the general industry is still relatively high, hence the need for robust fire safety and prevention training programs. Lately safety has become very important this is because of the latest government rules implemented for making safety strict in establishments.
